To help enhance your experience and get the most out of your Reiki session, here are some guidelines to follow leading up to your appointment...

1. Set an Intention:

Setting an intention before your Reiki session can help you focus your energy and get the most out of your experience. Think about what you hope to achieve from the session, whether it is physical healing, emotional release, or spiritual growth, or multiple concerns

2. Hydrate Yourself:

Drinking plenty of water before your Reiki session can help you stay hydrated and relaxed during the treatment.

3. Avoid Heavy Meals, Alcohol & Caffeine:

Eating a heavy meal before your Reiki session can make you feel uncomfortable and bloated. It is best to eat a light meal or snack before your appointment. Avoid stimulants and depressants for at least 24-48 hours

4. Wear comfortable clothing:

During a Reiki session, you will be lying down on an esthetic table. It is important to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and breathe easily.

1. Communicate with Your Practitioner:

Prior to your Reiki session, We will communicate about why you're seeking out Reiki healing. Whether you're dealing with physical, mental, emotional or spiritual issues, it's best you confide in your practitioner.

Even though Reiki energy will go where it's needed, it will allow me to focus on the areas that require more attention. Don't be shy. I'm here for you, without judgement.

2. During the Reiki session:

You will lie, fully clothed, on a comfortable esthetic bed. I will gently place my hands on or slightly above your body as I move from head to toes.

During the Reiki session, you may feel a variety of sensations, both physical and emotional.

One of the most common sensations during a Reiki session is a feeling of warmth or heat. This is often felt in the areas where the practitioner's hands are placed on or near the body. Some people also report feeling tingling or pulsing sensations in these areas.

Some may experience a sense of deep relaxation or even fall asleep during a Reiki session. This can be especially beneficial for those who are dealing with stress, anxiety, or insomnia.

Emotionally, some people may experience a release of pent-up emotions exhibiting outbursts of intense crying. Not to worry, you are releasing trauma. This is completely normal and a wonderful step towards healing. I'm well prepared for this. You will be supported.

It's important to note that everyone's experience with Reiki will be different, and there is no right or wrong way to feel during a session. Some people may not feel any physical sensations at all but still greatly benefit from the healing energy of Reiki.

Reiki is not associated with any particular religion. It is an energy healing practice that everyone can benefit from, regardless of their religion, faith or beliefs

The number and frequency of Reiki sessions needed vary from person to person. Generally, a single session can provide lasting benefits, but additional sessions may be necessary to achieve the desired effects. It is best to consult with your Reiki practitioner to determine the best course of treatment for your individual needs

Reiki is a gentle form of healing that does not typically produce any side effects. There are no risks or complications.

However, some people may experience mild effects as a result from the energy shift and release of toxins and trauma stored in the body in the form of headache, irritability, dizziness or feeling off balance, intestinal discomfort. These effects are very short lived, normally resolving within a day with rest and drinking more water. The body is cleansing as part of the healing process. This is a good sign and should not be any cause of distress

For your first session of Reiki, it's always best to book your session when you know you'll have at least a few hours after the treatment to relax

No, you do not need to be a believer for Reiki to work. Reiki is a holistic healing modality that works with the body’s energy pathways to restore balance and harmony. While it is beneficial to have an open mind and positive attitude, belief is not necessary for Reiki to be effective.

After your session, we will take a few minutes to fill out a short de-briefing, where we'll summarize what was experienced during your Reiki session

At this time, you can make use of the complimentary grounding mat, should you feel the need to do so.
